BAPTISM / CHRISTENING

Baptism/Christening is the way that we join the Church and make our commitment to belong to it. The words "baptism" and "christening" describe the same service: it doesn't matter which word is used.

You can join the Church at any age. If the candidate is a child, there are godparents involved who make promises on the child's behalf to pray for them and to ensure the child is brought up within the church community.

If you would like to find out more about you or your child being christened, come along to a Sunday service and speak to Revd Emma afterwards. If Sunday mornings are difficult for you because of work or other commitments, email Revd Emma directly (there is a contact form on the church contact details page).
